I haven’t made a post in ages because I couldn’t find the motivation. I didn’t know what to write about, I just knew that I wanted to write. I guess I could also say that I was ‘busy’ with school . (That’s a lie; all I do is procrastinate). Well, now that exams are over and school is out, I can finally watch Netflix for hours without feeling guilty, I don’t have to wake up at 4am anymore and I get to update my blog which has been in its infant stages for months now.
There’s one more thing. I’m going to Cuba! I’m leaving next week.
I have been learning Spanish and French in school for quite some time now. However, I am not what one would call fluent. (I’d love to become fluent, though.)
I really love languages and I like the idea of being able to smoothly transition from one language to another. In preparation for my upcoming exams, and also just because I want to, I will be doing some things that I think will help me to improve and will put me on the road to speaking fluently and I’d like to share them with you.
1.Listen to the language every day
Every single day, I plan to either listen to a podcast in Spanish and French, or listen to the Spanish or French radio. I have these apps called ‘Radios France’ and ‘Radios Spanish’ and those are what I use to listen to the radio. I also use the Podcasts app (only available for iOS devices) to listen to Spanish and French podcasts. The more practice you can get with hearing the language, the better it is for you.
